A Second War German Gold Grade Wound Badge by Steinhauer & Lück
A second war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped gilded tombac; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel wreaths with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; the pin marked “4” for “Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid”; measuring 44.10 mm x 36.63 mm; weighing 34.3 grams; very fine condition with some of the original gilding remaining.
