A second war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped blackened metal (magnetic); the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel wreaths with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; maker marked “L/56” for “Fruncke & Bruninghaus” on the reverse; measuring 44.13 mm x 36.90 mm; weighing 14.5 grams. Accompanied by its box of issue; constructed of cardstock with a lightly textured dark blue faux leather (leatherette) exterior; measuring 59 mm x 41 mm; the badge in near extremely fine condition, with the box in very fine condition, but with some moderate white staining from storage.
