A Black Grade award, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidiakanzlei code “107” for Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 36.94 mm (w) x 44.32 mm (h), weighing 10.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Silver Grade award, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with Präsidiakanzlei code “107” for Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 36.71 mm (w) x 44.26 mm (h), weighing 23.4 grams, demonstrating minor loss of silver finish, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A Gold Grade award, constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by the Vienna Mint, measuring 36.33 mm (w) x 44.17 mm (h), weighing 26.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
