A 1932 donation coin to commemorate the sinking of the training vessel Niobe; in silver (marked 900 on the coin edge); the obverse inscribed “Alles fürs Vaterland - Volksspende Niobe” (Everything for the fatherland - National Donation Niobe), and the reverse inscribed “Den Opfern von Fehmarn zum Gedenken” (In remembrance of the Victims); maker marked “Preussische Staatsmünze” on the coin edge; measuring 36.16 mm in diameter; weighing 21.9 grams; better than very fine condition.
