A mint and unissued cased “Luftschutzehrenzeichen 2. Stufe” (Heavy Version); in feinzink, with very fine details; the obverse consisting of a round oak leaf wreath with a large mobile swastika in the centre of the award, that is circumscribed “Für Dienste im Luftschutz” (For Services in Air Raid Protection); on loop for suspension - marked “60” for “Katz & Deyhle of Pforzheim”; with its period original ribbon; measuring 38.77 mm in diameter; weighing 26.3 grams. Accompanied by its rarely encountered presentation box of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the case with “Luftschutzehrenzeichen 2. Stufe” printed in black ink; measuring 45 mm (w) x 98 mm (h); in mint condition.
