Constructed of feinzink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse with a raised mobile swastika circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR PROTECTION”), the reverse with a central raised date of “1938”, unmarked, measuring 38.62 mm in diameter, measuring 28.9 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
