A Ski Competition badge of the SA Group of the Bavarian Ostmark in its original case of issue; constructed of fine quality white porcelain; the obverse depicting a ski jumper mid-flight, with a soaring national eagle flying over the skier, with a wreath containing a swastika in its talons; inscribed “Schi-Meisterschaft SA Gruppe Bayrische Ostmark Zwiesel 1937; the reverse plain, but maker marked “”Kunstabteilung Selb, Germany” in black print; measuring 101 mm x 87 mm; accompanied by its case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a textured black faux leather (leatherette) exterior; lined interior lid with a recessed medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; intact interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior hinge; measuring 116 mm x 114 mm; extremely fine condition.
