A 1939 German Figure Skating Championships Award with Case - Two-piece construction, silvered zinc, unmarked, illustrating a spread-winged eagle, its head turned to the left, standing on a pedestal inscribed "DEUTSCHE MEISTERSCHAFTEN im EISKUNSTLAUFEN u. EISLAUF-WETTBEWERBE BERLIN 6.-8. JANUAR", the numbers "19" and "39" (1939) on either side, clusters of oak leaves framing a swastika at the base, 87 mm x 89.5 mm, moderate surface and gilt wear, near extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "Robert Neff Bülowstr. 101. Berlin" on the inside cover, recessed medal bed, wear evident in the cloth over the hinged area, case very fine.
