Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms bearing stylized red enamelled flames, with a central white enamelled medallion topped by a black enamelled mobile swastika, with silvered bands through the quadrants bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM FEUERLÖSCHENWEHR” (“FOR SERVICE IN THE FIRE BRIGADE”), the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “18” for Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen, measuring 43.29 mm (w) x 47.78 mm (h), weighing 20.8 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed black velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 70 mm (w) x 18 mm (h), minor tarnishing evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
