Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels,, the obverse consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms bearing stylized red enamelled flames, with a central white enamelled medallion topped by a black enamelled mobile swastika, with silvered bands through the quadrants with a raised inscription of FÜR VERDIENSTE IM FEUERLÖSCHENWEHR (FOR SERVICE IN THE FIRE BRIGADE), marked with the number 60 for maker Katz & Deyhle of Pforzheim, measuring 43.72 mm (w) x 47.76 mm (h), on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, presenting fire damage, and in near very fine condition.
