A mint example of a third reich period Police 25-Year Long Service Cross “Dienstauszeichnung für Treue Dienste in der Polizei” in its original presentation case; a cross pattee in gilt bronze, with an oval oak wreath and police-style eagle with outstretched wings and a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons; the reverse with a centre inscribed “Für Treue Dienste in der Polizei” (For Loyal Services in the Police); on loop for suspension; with its period original ribbon; measuring 43.14 mm (w) x 41.16 mm (h); weighing 22.2 grams. Accompanied by its original presentation case; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a green faux leather (leatherette) exterior; with “25” embossed within an open-ended wreath on the outside of the lid; with a lined interior lid, an intact interior fabric hinge; functional spring catch with stud release; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 59 mm (w) x 105 mm; in overall mint condition.
