Constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie-style ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at both the top and bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika set within dual wheat stalks, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM REICHSARBEITSDIENST” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE REICH LABOUR SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 33.09 mm (w) x 45.78 mm (h), weighing 24.9 grams (inclusive of ribbon), with minor oxidation and loss of finish evident, in better than very fine condition.
