Germany, Third Reich. A 1936 Frohnauer Hammer 500th Anniversary Medal
(Frohnauer Hammer Jubiläumsmedaille). Constructed of silvered magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original fob-style rayon strap with a functional magnetic metal spring clip, the obverse bearing a central raised profile of Duke Georg, circumscribed by name and title in Latin, the reverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, circumscribed by inscriptions indicating that the medal was issued to a commemorate a 27-28 June 1936 meeting in the Annaberg-Obererzgebirge region to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Frohnauer Hammer, unmarked, measuring 40.03 mm in diameter, demonstrating minor surface oxidation, in near extremely fine condition.
