Germany, Third Reich. A 1943 Art Exhibition Seal from the House of German Art
Two pieces of silvered bronze glued back-to-back, both sides illustrating the House of German Art (Haus der Deutschen Kunst) insignia, comprising of a Neoclassical leftward facing head, an eagle and swastika motif, along with a flaming torch surrounded by the inscription AUSGESTELLT IM HAUS DER DEUTSCHEN KUNST 1943, with a white and red-coloured braided silk cord fed through the seal, forming a loop above and tied in a knot below the seal, measuring 32.02 mm in diameter, weighing 14.0 grams, and in good condition.
