Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central black enameled swastika, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.86 mm (w) x 45.74 mm (h), weighing 21.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux red leather exterior, the exterior of the lid with a silver embossed number “25” within a cogwheel, the interior with a red felt medal bed, the interior of the lid with a maker’s label of “WÄCHTLER & LANGE, MITTWEIDA”, measuring 48 mm (w) x 102 mm (l) x 16 mm (h), age-appropriate material fatigue evident to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
