Germany, Third Reich. A German Shooting Association Victor’s Medal, with Case
        (Deutscher Schützenverband Medaille mit Etui). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse bearing a central raised horse, topped by an inscription of “DEM SIEGER” (“TO THE VICTOR”), flanked by raised insignia of the DRL and DSV, the reverse with an inscription of “EHRENPREIS DES GAUES WESTFALEN IM DEUTSCHEN SCHÜTZEN-VERB.” (“HONOUR PRIZE OF GAU WESTPHALIA IN THE GERMAN SHOOTING ASSOCIATION”), above a raised banner with an unspoiled space for a dedication, unmarked, measuring 102 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a padded white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring128 mm (w) x 128 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), the medal has lost some of its bronze finish, in overall near extremely fine condition.
