Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Second War Period Day Badges
(Tagesabzeichen). A group of six German day badges, including a 2nd Main Frankonia Combat Veteran and Wounded Soldier Honour Day badge constructed of stamped metal with figures in high relief, reverse shows maker mark “M/183,” vertical pinback, measures 35 mm (w) x 43 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition. A RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund/Air Raid Protection League) “Luftschutz Tut Not” donation badge, constructed of silvered magnetic metal, the reverse shows a horizontal pin, measures 24 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), and in fine condition. An oval tinnie featuring a man in profile and the date “1938,”, horizontal pin, maker mark “RIDIA RIED INNKREI,” measures 31 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), and in fine condition. A badge commemorating the war memorial unveiling in Gaming, Austria, dated 22 September 1929, reverse shows a sticker stating “PRÄGEANSTALT BELADA KFG. WIEN.VII.BURGG. 40,” vertical pinback, measures 29 mm (w) x 32.5 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1927 Vienna Catholic Diocese Day badge, horizontal pinback, measures 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1933 German Luther day badge, by Alfred Stürbf of Berlin, on a horizontal pinback, measures 33 mm in diameter, and in very fine condition.
