Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Second War Period Day Badges
(Tagesabzeichen). A group of six German day badges, including a RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund/Air Raid Protection League) “Luftschutz Tut Not” donation badge, constructed of silvered magnetic metal, the reverse shows a horizontal pin, measures 24 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition. A round, silvered, magnetic metal AH badge, on horizontal pinback, measures 34 mm in diameter, and in very fine condition. A 1938 Rothenburg badge, constructed of circular, die-cast, metal in a silver finish, the obverse shows a raised design depicting a town scene with the inscription “ROTHENBURG O T 1938,” to the top right, a horizontal pin attached to the reverse, maker mark “A. RETTENMAIER SCHWÄB. GMÜND,” measures 42 mm in diameter, and in extremely fine condition. A 1935 Waidhofen an der Thaya District Exhibition of Agricultural and Commerce, on a horizontal pinback, measures 27 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1926 event badge for the Lueger Monument Unveiling Ceremony, on a horizontal pinback, measures 30 mm (w) x 41 mm (h), and in fine condition. A Polish day badge, marked on reverse “PATENT 39288,” on a needle pin 35 mm long, and in very fine condition.
