Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Second War Period Day Badges
(Tagesabzeichen). A group of six Third Reich period day badges, including a 1939 SA Group Hansa Championship badge, constructed of bakelite, reverse shows a vertical retaining pin, maker mark “Richard Sieper & Söhne Lüdenscheid,” and RZM code “M9 / 25,” measures 38 mm in diameter, and in good condition. A ceramic, 1939 Reichstagung Kraft Durch Freude Hamburg (1939 KdF Conference in Hamburg), reverse presents a horizontal retaining pin, unmarked, measures 28 mm in diameter, and in very fine condition. A shield shaped, die-cast metal badge, the obverse presents the design depicting a twin tower castle building with a cloaked figure with outstretched arms in the foreground, above is an eagle and swastika emblem, at the base is a panel with the inscription “MÜNCHEN,” the reverse presents a retaining pin, maker mark “C. POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN,” RZM code “M9 / 11,” inscribed “1939/40 KRIEGSWINTERHILFSWERK (“1939/40 WAR WINTER AID”), measures 30 mm (w) x 33 mm (h), and in good condition. A matching enamelled badge with the same tower and cloaked figure on the obverse, in multi-coloured enamels, the reverse shows a vertical pinback, unmarked, measures 12 mm (w) x 16 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1937 International Paris Exposition badge, measures 20 mm (w) x 29 mm (h), on a 32 mm long needle pin, and in near extremely fine condition. A magnetic metal stick pin in the shape of a shield with the initial “B,” on a 34 mm long needle pin, and in good condition.
