Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Second War Period Day Badges
(Tagesabzeichen). A group of six Third Reich period day badges, including a NSBO circular, hollow-backed alloy metal badge in a gold finish, the obverse centre design depicts a swastika, surmounted by an emblem of a hand wielding a hammer, with a swastika on the head, beside a section of a cogged wheel with the initials N.S.B.O on the rim, the circular border inscription reads “N.S.B.O. FAHNENWEIHE SEPTEMBER 1933 PFARRKIRCHEN,” reverse shows a horizontal retaining pin, measures 33 mm in diameter, and in extremely fine condition. A 1938 Schöckelberg Gymnastics badge, by Schwertner & Cie, reverse presents a vertical pinback, measures 27 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition. A 1934 Saar-Kundgebung Zweibrücken Deutsche Front Unser Deutschland badge, reverse presents a vertical pin, measures 27 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition. A 1927 badge for Former Members of the Royal Bavarian Army 7th Infantry Regiment, by Deschler & Sohn of Münich, reverse shows a horizontal pin, measures 32 mm (w) x 33 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1934 Stockinger Rally pin, on a horizontal pin, measures 24 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), and in good condition. A Volkswagen Factory Worker badge, on a horizontal pinback, measures 24 mm in diameter, and in very fine condition.
