Germany, Third Reich. A Münch Commemorative Medal for Service Workers and Labourers, with Case
(Verdienstmedaille der Münchener Dienstboten- und Arbeiterstiftung). Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a central raised Munich coat of arms, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “MÜNCHEN - DIE HAUPTSTADT DER BEWEGUNG” (“MUNICH - THE CAPITAL OF THE MOVEMENT”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR LANG UND TREU GELEISTETE DIENSTE” (“FOR LONG AND FAITHFUL SERVICES”), the edge bearing a crescent moon silver hallmark, measuring 43.30 mm in diameter, weighing 40.3 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux brown leather exterior, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed white velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 84 mm (w) x 84 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
