A Civil Service 40-Year Long Service Award, constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 41.32 mm (w) x 46.34 mm (h), weighing 23.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a heavy card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilded and wreathed number “40”, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and red felt medal bed, the former maker marked “DESCHLER & SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 48 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating moderate material fatigue to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.

DEZEMBER 1938” and signature of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 35.55 mm (w) x 45.80 mm (h), weighing 15.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing an embossed and gilded depiction of the award, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and white felt medal bed, the former maker marked “C.F. ZIMMERMANN, PFORZHEIM”, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 50 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating moderate material fatigue to the case, in near extremely fine condition.
