Germany, Third Reich. A Table Medal for a Convention of the Association of Tradesmen and Specialized Trade, c. 1936
A circular medallion constructed of aluminum, the obverse bears a castle tower with four windows and a shield to the left with 3 upwards facing chevrons, atop a castle wall, three circular medals lay at the bottom, the centre bears a swastika and “DRV”, the left bears a left facing eagle and “RdDF” and the right bears a machine cog wheel with tools in the centre, the reverse bears the inscription “WANDERFAHRT ZUR REICHSTAGUNG DES REICHSINNUNGSVERBANDES DES MECHANIKERHANDWERKS UND DES FACHHANDELS BIELEFELD 13/14 JUNI 1936” (Trip for the Reich Convention of the Association of Tradesmen and Specialized Trade Bielefeld 13/14 June 1936), measuring 55.08 mm, weighing 28.8 g, very fine.
