Germany, Third Reich. A Wartime Patriotic Porcelain Medal
(Patriotischer Medaille). Constructed of brown porcelain, the obverse bearing a raised central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN GLAUBE, EIN WILLE, EIN ZIEL, SIEG!” (“ONE BELIEF, ONE WILL, ONE GOAL, VICTORY!”), the reverse bearing a central raised depiction of U-Boats and planes approaching a coastal landscape, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “ES KANN HIER NUR EINER SIEGEN UND DAS SIND WIR!” (“THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE VICTOR AND THAT IS US!”), unmarked, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
