A third reich period German “Polizei Dienstauszeichnung für Treue Dienste in der Polzei”; cross pattée in gilded bronze, with an oval oak leaf wreath and a police-style eagle with outstretched wings and a wreathed mobile swastika in its claws; the reverse with a center “medallion” inscribed “Für Treue Dienste in der Polizei” (For Loyal Services in the Police); on loop for suspension; with a correct replacement ribbon; measuring 42.93 mm x 43.04 mm; weighing 22.8 grams. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a green faux leather (leatherette) exterior; outside lid embossed with “25” and a semi-circular wreath; the interior lined with a lined medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; severed interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 103 mm x 50 mm; overall mint condition.
