(Dienstauszeichnung Reichsarbeitsdienst III. Klasse). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1943 issue). Constructed of silvered cupal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, the obverse with a central RAD insignia in the form of a shovel head overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by wheat stalks, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM REICHSARBEITSDIENST” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE REICH LABOUR SERVICE”), measuring 32.85 mm (w) x 44.79 mm (h), weighing 9.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
