Germany, Third Reich. A Chamber of Commerce and Industry Medal for Faithful Work
(Industrie- und Handelskammer Leistungsabzeichen). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse with a central sailing ship cutting through waves, above a mobile swastika and on top of an industrial landscape, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE IN DER ARBEIT” (“FOR LOYALTY IN WORK”), the reverse with an inscription of “INDUSTRIE- U. HANDELSKAMMER” (“CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE”), circumscribed by an inscription of “GLADBACH-RHEYDT-NEUSS”, the reverse with a silver content mark of “990”, measuring 40.65 mm in diameter, weighing 23.9 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
