Germany. A 1942 Krakow District Shooting Medal with Case
(Krakau Schießen Medaille). Constructed of feinzink, obverse depicts central German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika with inscription “KRAKAU 1942”, circumscribed by raised inscription of “MEISTER DES DISTRIKTS GENERALGOUVERNMENT” (“MASTER OF THE DISTRICT, GENERAL GOVERNMENT”), unmarked, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of heavy cardstock with faux brown leather exterior, interior satin-type lid liner, recessed red felt medal bed, intact faux brown leather hinge cover, exterior stud on faux brown leather strap meeting stud catch of identical composition stitched into lid exterior, in near extremely fine condition.
