A black rectangle plaque constructed of wood, the obverse centre bears a bronze plate with a stag skull with a crucifix between its antlers and a crown affixed at the top, within an ornate corner border, below is inscribed with “Hubertus- Wanderpriess Bester Schütze 1937 Wilhelm Ahlert” (Hubertus Hiking Award Best Shooter 1937 Wilhelm Ahlert” within a border of oak leaves and ribbon, the obverse bears a triangle nailing hook, measuring 124 mm (w) x 154 mm (h), very fine.
