Schwegerle; maker marked “Deschler & Sohn, München” and marked “Neumarkt - birthplace of Dietrich Eckart) on the reverse; measuring 37 mm in diameter; very fine condition.
Footnote: Dietrich Eckart (March 23, 1868 - December 26, 1923) was one of the founding members of the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei/German Worker’s Party), which later evolved into the NSDAP. As a journalist, playwright, and poet, he was a politician as a key influence on Adolf Hitler in the early years of the NSDAP. He participated in the Beer Hall Putsch in 1923, and died shortly after it.
