A 20th Anniversary badge of the Battle of Tannenberg (1914-1934); In die stamped bronze, horizontal pin; unmarked; measuring 40 mm x 29 mm; very fine condition. Footnote: The Battle of Tannenberg was a battle of the First War that occurred in Ostpreußen (East Prussia) between August 26, 1914 and August 30. 1914 between Germany and Russia. The German side had 153,000 men at the disposal, while the Russians had 191,000. The battle ended with a German victory with heavy casualties on both sides.
