What's a max bid?

A First Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen; Measuring 475 mm, this dagger features a 305 mm nickel-plated steel blade, with unsharpened edges, remaining bright and crisp, having a semi-sharp tip. The blade's reverse ricasso is maker marked Carl Eickhorn, Solingen with the company's later period squirrel insignia, along with an inverted eagle insignia stamped above. It retains its crossgraining, in addition to faint scratches overall, common to extraction and return to the scabbard, natural shine, in near extremely fine condition. The blue leather washer at the crossguard junction remains supple, with an angular crease. The fittings are nickel plated, exhibiting dark patinas. The crossguard, exhibits crisp detail, complemented by the circular Swastika insignia in the centre on both sides, the obverse insignia with a large bruise and contact marks. The underside of the crossguard is engraved with the initials "F.A.S.". The wooden based grip is wrapped in blue/black Moroccan grip leather, exhibiting scattered nips in the leather accented by tight, silvered springy wire, near extremely fine. The pommel features a circular bronze Swastika on both sides, with light contact on both sides. The scabbard appears without dents in the nickel fittings, wrapped in the same blue/black Moroccan leather as the dagger's grip, light contact and indentations in the leather, chipping evident on the tip of the ball finial, complemented by two dagger hanger rings, measuring 341 mm in length. The attached chain and clip in aluminum, maker marked "OLC" (Overhoff & Cie Ludenscheid) and marked "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) on the clip. Extremely fine.
