An NSKK Dagger by Max Tiger, Solingen
This NSKK dagger displays very nicely with bright nickel finished fittings on both crossguards, light contact with minor scratches on the upper guard. The dark wooden handle fits tight to both crossguards, exhibiting light contact and without chipping, embedded finely-detailed aluminum eagle rates very fine, while the SA insignia exhibits very light contact, with its brown enamels and silvering intact. The blade itself is simply outstanding with clear cross-graining, free of nicks or dents, and a bright finish. Well marked with Tiger, Solingen as well as their corresponding RZM M7/68 mark; overall, this blade is near mint. The black steel scabbard has only minor and small paint loss with silvered fittings that remain bright and without dents. Both upper screws are in place. Ring attached to the locket has its original leather dagger hanger strap with adjustable buckle and functioning clip, unmarked on the clip, the leather showing wear and crazing, also from active use. Overall, a complete and fine example.
