What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

A Personalized SA Dagger by Ernst Pack & Söhne

A Personalized SA Dagger by Ernst Pack & Söhne - Alles für Deutschland on the blade, maker marked "E.P. & S. SOLINGEN" (Ernst Pack & Sohne) with the company's hammerman insignia in the centre on the ricasso. It is personally engraved "gew.  27.9.34" (Gewidmet = Dedicated, September 27, 1934) above "St. F. Bachmann" (Sturmmann F. Bachmann) at the opposite end from the ricasso. The blade has beautiful crossgraining, exhibiting the usual in and out runner marks, with very sharp edges and a semi-sharp tip. Nickel plated fittings on the crossguards, SA Group marked "He" (Hessen) on the reverse of the lower crossguard, exhibiting very light contact and wear. Mahogany-coloured wooden handle with light contact and does not fit tight to either crossguard. The embedded aluminum eagle rates very fine. The SA insignia also exhibits contact, with a small crack in the handle to its left and chipping where it butts the pommel crossguard. The scabbard fittings exhibit light marks, with splits in the slightly loose chape around the screws and a small dent on the finial's end, while the dark brown body exhibits contact and wear in the paint. Attached to the ring is a well-worn but intact leather strap with an oval buckle and metal clip. Extremely fine. Footnote: Usually appearing on the reverse of the lower crossguard, the SAGroup mark was used as  a distribution control measure. These marks normally only appear on pre-RZM daggers.
