What's a max bid?

An SA Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen 1939

Measuring 371 mm in length with the scabbard on, this SA dagger is engraved "Alles für Deutschland" in black on the blade, magnetic, exhibiting beautiful crossgraining, with the usual in and out runner marks, very sharp edges and an extremely sharp tip. It is marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia, dated "1939" and maker marked "M7/66" (Carl Eickhorn, Solingen) with the company's squirrel insignia on the reverse ricasso, scattered surface wear evident, measuring 222 mm in length and rating better than very fine. Nickel plated fittings on both crossguards, along with the pommel, exhibiting bubbling in the finish. Wooden handle is bright, with a smooth finish and without chipping. The embedded aluminum eagle exhibits surface wear and rates very fine, while the SA insignia exhibits very light contact, the brown enamels intact and rating near extremely fine. The wooden handle and rear crossguard fits loose versus the rest of the dagger, the dagger measuring 349 mm overall. The scabbard fittings exhibit light contact on one side, the chape with extensive surface wear on the other side, the ball finial without dents. The brown painted body has a gloss finish, magnetic, exhibiting light contact overall and scratches with paint loss one edge near the chape. Both the locket and chape are held firmly in place via two screws each, the ring attached to the locket and housing a leather strap. The strap is marked with the RZM insignia and "L2/60/41" and has an oval buckle with surface rust present and functioning spring-loaded clip, the clip marked with the RZM insignia and maker marked "M5/71" (Overhoff & Cie, Ludenscheid) with the company's diamond-shape bordered OLC insignia, the leather exhibiting light wear, the scabbard measuring 245 mm in length. Very fine.
