Inset into the obverse of the handle is a silvered German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 25 mm (w) x 15 mm (h). The chains connect to a knotted swastika which in turn features a functional metal spring clip for uniform suspension. The interior of the throat also retains a functional spring catch to firmly hold the dagger in place during storage. Unmarked, the dagger demonstrates some Issues consistent with age and wear, including tarnishing and running marks to the blade with minor pitting, chipping of the handle’s SS insignia, and some surface oxidation to the scabbard’s metal features.
