A Rare National Political Educational Institute Dagger for Students - with KARL BURGSMULLER in an arch above BERLIN- etched on the blade; crossguards are aluminum, exhibiting slight surface wear, with lower reverse crossguard is stamped with number “B 142”; wooden grip is light brown colored, without chipping or cracks, showing moderate wear; blade is in excellent condition, with usual runner marks, otherwise minty, untouched; blade has deeply etched motto, “Mehr sein als scheinen.” (Be More Than You Appear to Be); there is also a buffer pad present, slightly worn out. Steel scabbard is straight and without dents, retains approximately 80% of the original olive finish, showing moderate surface wear. Overall condition is extremely fine. A scarce dagger.
