An Early HJ Knife with Motto by Tiger
This example is made with a steel base and a nickel finish. Bright plating with early coarse grip. The “HJ” insignia exhibits only minor contact from handling. The blade is the style with a ricasso appearing with a deep motto “Blut und Ehre!” The reverse side of the blade is stamped with the large horizontal tiger positioned at approximately the center point of the blade. Behind the cat is the company’s boldly lettered name and location “Tiger / Solingen”. Also stamped with GESETZL. GESCHUTZT. The scabbard is dent-free and shows the expected wear common to early and used knives. Very fine overall.
