Germany. A Third Reich Period DJ Pocket Knife
An example of a well preserved third reich period DJ (Deutsche Jugend/German Youths) pocket knife; constructed of a steel core (magnetic) and a black textured celluloid exterior on both sides of the knife, with one side decorated with a single DJ rune; within the knife are three spring loaded blades, in three varying sizes. All three blades can be taken out of the knife. The medium-sized blade is sharp, while the other two blades have dulled from age. It is marked “UTICA, Cutlery Co., Utica, NY” and measures 98 mm (w) x 20 mm (h); in overall very fine condition.
