Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, Ordnungspolizei. An NCO’s Dress Sword

(Ordnungspolizei Unterführerdegen). A well-preserved Ordnungspolizei Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) dress sword, measuring 96 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 79.5 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic metal blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge. A fuller runs approximately two-thirds of the length of each side. Unmarked, the blade sits securely within a blackened and ribbed wooden handle with the seam covered by an intact brown leather buffer pad. Inset into the obverse of the handle is a silvered Ordnungspolizei insignia measuring 25 mm (w) x 20 mm (h). Secured to the handle at each end is a magnetic metal hand guard with an oak leaf ring facilitating the transition between the crossguard and grip. It completes with a flattened pommel. Wrapped around the hand guard is a matching portpee, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire acorn suspended from a black leather strap, in turn adorned with machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire and red threaded tresses. It is accompanied by its period original scabbard, constructed of a black-painted magnetic metal shaft. Affixed to the upper shaft is an integral ring with a loop for the accommodation of a hanger for uniform suspension. The former is included and consists of a teardrop-shaped black leather strap retaining a functional magnetic metal spring clip and buckle. The throat retains a magnetic metal fixture presenting a classic trefoil design, secured in place with dual side rivets. A functional spring catch inside of the throat firmly holds the sword in place during storage. It demonstrates minor issues consistent with age and wear, including some running marks to the blade, oxidation of the metal features, and slight material fatigue to the hanger and portepee. The sword is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
