A Grouping of Wehrmacht Artillery Insignia
A grouping of Wehrmacht artillery insignia, consisting of shoulder boards and collar tabs. The Oberstleutnant shoulder boards are constructed of grey embroidery intertwined with silver threading in the form of a five-looped braid, on a red artillery Waffenfarbe backer, with a single gilded aluminum rank pip and a gilded aluminum divisional numeral “6” - both with all prongs perfectly intact; set appears to be matching and measures 95 mm x 35 mm (excluding the protruding loop), with one of the shoulder boards exhibiting moderate moth damage. The Wehrmacht Artillery NCO’s collar tabs are constructed of grey embroidery with red artillery Waffenfarbe designation; on a Flaschengrün (bottle green) rayon backer; with a late war buckram core; set appears to be matching and measures 65 mm x 40 mm; one collar tab stamped “DRGM 1477996” on reverse; mint and unissued condition.
