A Mint and Unissued Revierförster Collar Tab by Thile & Steinert; Dated 1941
This is a mint and unissued numbered, labeled, and dated envelope containing a single forestry Revierförster collar tab; the tab in its original cellophane wrapper; constructed of very fine quality manufacture aluminum twisted wire in the shape of two twigs, one in each lower corner, each with three oak leafs and two acorns, as well as two vertically positioned oak leafs in the centre of the tab; with a forest-green woolen backer, standard buckram core, and edged on all four sides with fine quality twisted wire fastened to the sides using invisible green threads; measuring 57 mm x 41 mm. Accompanied by its factory attached quality control tag, numbered “5712” with its description, dated “3.12.1941”, and with the factory’s maker mark “Thile & Steinert, Berlin”; with its crimped seal (magnetic). With its original envelope; labeled “Collar tab for Oberforstmeister/Landforstmeister”, numbered “5712”, dated “3.12.41”, and with the factory’s maker mark “Thile & Steinert, Berlin”; measuring 161 mm x 113 mm; in top condition.
