A Pair of German Army (Heer) Generalleutnant's Shoulder Boards
A fine matching pair of Sew-on style boards, constructed of two rows of fine silvered aluminum wire wrapped around white cord, flanked by a row of gold-colored bullion wire wrapped around yellow cord on either side, in an interwoven braided pattern, loop creating a button hole for uniform attachment, with a gilded bronze pip in the center, all superimposed on a padded red wool; of early period, excellent quality manufacture, very tight braiding, slightly worn example, overall extremely fine condition.
