A scarce GMSA (German Mine Sweeping Administration/Deutsche Minenräumdienst) sleeve patch; in fine quality golden-yellow and brown machine embroidery, on a blue wool backer; with black rayon backing; measuring 67 mm x 46 mm; uniform removed, but overall extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Following the German surrender on May 8, 1945, select Kriegsmarine Minesweeper boats were repurposed by the German Mine Sweeping Administration to find and safely dispose of remaining mines of the war.
