Germany. A Set of Generalmajor Shoulder Boards
Sew on boards, fabricated from a row of interwoven strands of Russian braiding in silver bullion wire, flanked by double rows of gold-colored interwoven strands on either side, in an interlocking weave pattern, the neck end of each board with a loop for placement upon a uniform button; measures approximately 42 mm x 105 mm inclusive of their red wool backers, loose threading on the reverse of each indicating previous uniform wear, circa 1940 manufacture, in worn condition.
