A very fine matching pair of third reich period German Gendarmerie Oberleutnant shoulder boards; constructed of four rows of twisted grey cords on a white core; wrapped in a U-shape in a chevron formation; the underside is constructed of orange wool that protrudes past the edge of the shoulder boards, giving it an orange Waffenfarbe; with a single gilded bronze rank pip attached to the shoulder boards; measuring 109 mm x 35 mm; in overall near mint condition.
