An extremely fine quality manufacture Standschützen Bataillon Innsbruck sleeve patch; constructed of very fine multi-coloured machine embroidery on a green wool background and a white rayon backer; measuring 116 mm x 79 mm; mint condition.
Footnote: In the 15th and 16th centuries Standschützen were rifle guilds involved in voluntary military operations at the Austrian borders. In this case, the individual was involved in the voluntary protection of the state of Innsbruck, similarly to a militia.
