Germany. A Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Officer’s Breast Eagle; Uniform Removed
An example of a third reich period Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Officer’s breast eagle; constructed of fine twisted, flat, and curled silver aluminum bullion wires, with grey twisted threading throughout to give the eagle’s wings more definition; on a dark green wool backer, and with its black paper backing partially preserved; measuring 98 mm (w) x 45 mm (h); an uniform removed example; in overall near very fine condition.
