A set of Heer Infantry Hauptmann shoulder boards, each constructed of cardboard-reinforced white wool, bearing four bands of silver aluminum wire piping, and pinned with dual gilded zink rank pips and stylized numerals “517”, the reverse of each with an integrated wool strap, both unmarked and measuring 35 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition.
