Germany, Luftwaffe. A Set of Hauptmann Medical Staff Collar Tabs and Shoulder Boards
The collar tabs constructed of blue fabric, with the insignia constructed of twisted and rolled silver aluminum bullion wires in the shape of three gulls with crossed branches with raised accents in the leaves to represent veins; all four sides trimmed in twisted silver bullion wire; buckram core; measuring 42 mm (w) x 62 mm (h). The shoulder straps constructed of four sets of doubled-up strands of silver aluminum bullion wire wound around a fabric core, folded into a “U-Shape”; the underside with a blue wool backer; the obverse with two gilded rank pips with a medical rank staff pip; measuring 36 mm (w) x 114 mm (h); uniform removed; in overall very fine condition.
